Last weekend was our Halloween extravaganza in Coleman. The show at The Rum Runner was a lot of fun, with one lucky customer winning a trip to Vegas for their beheaded bride costume (better luck next year Vegas adult-flyer-hander-outers). Matt and I were Ghostbusters, while Tynan was a zombie mountainman and Harley did a rodeo clown thing.
The next day was a tough one. We buried Matt’s dog Leroy in a clearing in the mountains. Leroy often came with us on rock and roll trips and he was a big part of the Cowpuncher family. Leroy had an especially good time in the Crowsnest Pass hanging out with Tynan’s dog Joy. I remember a couple of different times leaving him alone in the van for a few minutes and returning to find he’d sniffed out and eaten van cheeseburgers. He definitely enjoyed sneaking into the garbage! He taught us moves. We’re missin’ you, Leroy.
Cowpuncher is off to Fernie tomorrow to play at The Northern Bar & Stage.
And finally, the line-up for the TransCanada Alberta Music Series at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts has been announced. We’re closing down the BarnBurner Session Saturday, March 31, 2012.
